KINGSTON, Jamaica - Champion trainer Wayne DaCosta has six horses that have qualified for the Diamond Mile on Saturday, November 9.

The six DaCosta runners who secured qualification are Princess Annie, She’s A Maneater, Uncle Frank, Stranger Danger, Drummer Boy and Summer Sun.

With six horses in the Diamond Mile, DaCosta gave a rundown on their Diamond Mile exercise progress.

“So far, so good. I have not had any problems with any of them, it has been good going so far.

“Right now, She’s A Maneater is working extremely well, so is Stranger Danger.

Princess Annie who had a problem earlier this year is now working extremely well and I am hoping for a good race from her.

“Summer Sun continues to be on the improve, he wants two turns to be at his best but a mile is still a good distance for him to win. This is not to say that he has a winning chance in the event but most certainly a placing chance. Let us see how it turns out for Summer Sun.

“Uncle Frank is an old stalwart. He has earned the right to be among the group of qualifiers. Uncle Frank has been pretty consistent throughout the year and a mile will suit him right down to the ground, and his rider will be Oneil Mullings. He may even be lucky enough to be in the top four or top five,” trainer DaCosta shared.

In concluding DaCosta said: “There are the two top-rated performers in She’s A Maneater and Stranger Danger, but to tell which is the better horse, one will have to come on race day to find out  who is the best. I have the honour of training both horses but to tell who is better than who, I also will have to wait and see for myself.”
