Saturday’s ten-race card will be remembered as the day of the ‘bosses,’ with three horses carrying that title stamping their authority on proceedings.

The first to strike was Boss Lady Janet, who lit up the sixth event, a four-year-old and up maiden call over 5 ½ furlongs. With Richie Shakes in the saddle, she bided her time until the final furlong, before unleashing a determined late surge to snatch victory by a head. Trained by Norman Smith, Boss Lady Janet stunned punters as the longest-priced winner of the day at odds of 28-1.

Next came Boss Man, representing the Peter-John Parsard barn and partnered by Omar Walker. Contesting a four-year-old non-winners of three call at seven furlongs, Boss Man seized the early lead and never looked back. He coasted home unchallenged, stretching away to score by a commanding 8 ¼ lengths. Adding to the intrigue, Boss Man is bred by Bern Identity out of Miss Boss Lady, deepening the mystique of the ‘bosses’ lineage.

The finale belonged to Bigger Boss, a three-year-old trained by Jason DaCosta and ridden by Tevin Foster. Closing the programme in style, Bigger Boss dominated his rivals over 6 ½ furlongs in a non-two call, sealing a convincing victory and completing the trifecta of ‘bosses’ triumphs.

There was no stopping the ‘bosses’!
