KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Caymanas Saturday finale turned out to be one for the Anthony’s. Oneofakind making his seasonal entry produced the performance of the day for his rider co-champion Anthony Thomas and champion trainer Anthony Nunes.
In a run to take serious note of, Oneofakind, now a four-year-old was waited on by Thomas as Battle Dancer (Kerry-Gayl Robinson) and others set the early splits.
Thomas made his move with three furlongs to go, swooping by all comers to gain the ascendency and although challenged in the latter part of the stretch by Awesome Treasure (Tevin Foster), Oneofakind blasted away to win in convincing manner by 3 ½ lengths.
Awesome Treasure was second and Big Big Daddy (Dane Dawkins) third.
