KINGSTON, Jamaica - The following is a news release from The Jamaica Racing Commission.
APPEAL – JOCKEY TEVIN FOSTER vs. STEWARDS’ DECISION
On Tuesday 21st March, 2023 the Jamaica Racing Commission heard an appeal submitted by Jockey Tevin Foster against the decision of the Stewards to suspend him from riding for a period of two (2) racedays. This was in relation to interferences caused to horse No.15 LEO whilst aboard his mount horse No. 8 LONGIE LALA leaving the 400-meter point of a recent race.
After carefully reviewing the film of the race and submissions made by Jockey Tevin foster, who represented himself in the hearing, along with submissions from the Jamaica Racing Commission’s Operations Steward, the Commission saw no reason to overturn the Stewards decision. Jockey Foster will therefore be suspended from racing for a period of two (2) racedays.
