KINGSTON, Jamaica – The third race on Sunday, October 15, is a five-furlong round for two-year-olds, with seven horses initially nominated.

The lineup has now been reduced to six, as Sherif In Town has been officially declared a late non-starter.

Below is Quick Galloper's analysis of the remaining contenders in post-position order.

1 - BUTTERCUP, a bay filly (February 2) by Conquest Cherimash out of Shahar, is trained by Richard Azan and ridden by Dane Dawkins. She performed well on her debut 15 days ago, finishing fourth behind stable companion MS Cherry. Buttercup will get there in time.

2 - RUN JULIE RUN, a grey filly (May 6) by Successful Native out of Runaway Julie, is trained by Ian Parsard with Omar Walker aboard. This well-bred filly debuts with some impressive morning workouts leading into this event. Run Julie Run is anticipated to perform well and be a significant factor in the race.

3 - BLU SENSATION, a bay filly (February 12) by Sensational Slam out of Blues In The Sky, is trained by Ian Parsard with Shamaree Muir in the saddle. With one previous run (August 1), she finished nearly six lengths behind Banadura. Entering her second race wearing a tongue tie, Blu Sensation has the potential to win but must execute flawlessly.

4 - DON'T TELL LOU LOU, a bay filly (May 8) by Savoy Stomp out of Lastochka, is trained by Byron Davis with Bebeto Harvey aboard. She requires more time to develop.

5 - QUEEN OF SOUL, a chestnut filly (May 25) by Soul Warrior out of Aretha, is trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster in the saddle. Making her first appearance, Queen of Soul has received positive reports from morning observers. As the first two-year-old starter from the Nunes camp, she should be closely monitored given the trainer's record with juveniles.

6 - FRANCIS, a bay filly (May 13) by Savoy Stomp out of Jazzy Jet, is trained by Richard Azan with Raddesh Roman aboard. She had a commendable debut (September 30), finishing 3 ½ lengths behind impressive stable companion MS Cherry. Francis races with Lasix for the first time and is highly competitive over five furlongs.

7 - SHERIF IN TOWN is a late non-starter.
