The fourth race of ten scheduled for Saturday, October 25, 2025, is the Anthony Tyson Trophy, on a day when the announcers at Caymanas Park are honoured.
The Anthony Tyson Trophy is designated for two-year-old maidens going 4 ½ furlongs. Six horses are entered.
Here is The Quick Galloper’s assessment of these six starters.
1 – GREEN PAINT
Bay filly (April 9) by Savoy Stomp out of Fancia’s Pride Trainer: Saqlain Roman | Jockey: Abigail Able Equipment Note: Blinkers on
Green Paint has raced twice without showing signs of imminent success. The addition of blinkers may sharpen her focus, but she remains an outsider until proven otherwise.
2 – THE CHEF MASTER
Bay colt (March 17) by Here Comes Ben out of Dancing Riddim Trainer: Edward Stanberry | Jockey: Evertte Clunis.
A debutant stepping into competitive waters. The Chef Master is expected to gain experience from this outing rather than contend for top honours.
3 – MAYBELLE
Bay filly (March 29) by Sensational Slam out of Let’s Get It On Trainer: Jason DaCosta | Jockey: Jerome Innis
Maybelle led for much of her last race on October 19 before finishing a close second to Midnight Traveller over five furlongs round. She now returns to the straight course, where she previously posted two narrow runner-up finishes. With form and familiarity on her side, Maybelle is the standout.
4 – BLYTHWOOD
Bay colt (February 14) by Wow Wow out of She’s An Introvert Trainer: Anthony Nunes | Jockey: Raddesh Roman Equipment Note: Visor on
Blythwood returns just six days after his last run. Though he’s been bested twice by Maybelle, the addition of a visor could spark improvement. A live contender if he finds more.
5 – FIDELITY
Bay gelding (March 28) by Bern Identity out of Hush My Darling Trainer: Jason DaCosta | Jockey: Anthony Allen
Fidelity has twice faced Maybelle, once beating her and once finishing behind. After a 42-day break, he returns refreshed and ready. His prior form and rest make him a serious threat.
6 – UNCLE NALLY
Bay colt (May 27) by Successful Native out of Kit De Luca Trainer: Robert Pearson | Jockey: Dane Dawkins
A first-time runner who has shown encouraging signs during morning exercise. Uncle Nally may not be fully polished, but his early promise suggests he could surprise.
THE QUICK GALLOPER’S VERDICT
Maybelle holds the edge with consistent form and a return to what seems to be her preferred straight course. Fidelity, rested and proven, is the main danger. Blythwood could improve with the visor, while Uncle Nally adds intrigue as a newcomer. Green Paint and The Chef Master will need marked improvement to factor.
