KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was a rough start for punters as the St Leger race day got underway a short while ago at Caymanas Park.

Providing that upset in the first of 10 races was the Jordan Barrett ridden and Wilfred Chin conditioned Big Paul. Big Paul won a $250,000 - $200,000 Claimer travelling five furlongs round.

Coming from off the pace Big Paul got the critical run on the inside rails to overhaul leaders Samora (Chris Mamdeen) and Union Four (Kiaman McGregor), to score by 2 ½ lengths.

Union Four was second and Samora third.
