KINGSTON, Jamaica – Imported two-year-old gelding Stranger Danger came up with a truly magnificent performance to win the seven-furlong Sweet Ruckus Trophy by 16 lengths, easing down, in a fast time of 1:24.4 some 10 minutes ago at Caymanas Park. The running splits were 23.2 x 45.3 x 1:11.1.

Stranger Danger earned for his trainer Wayne DaCosta his second winner on the day and the first for now champion jockey, Anthony Thomas. Second went to Top Shelf (Hakeem Pottinger) at 23-1 with third place taken by Juice Man (Dane Nelson) at 4-1.

With the win, DaCosta is just approximately $490,000 behind Nunes on the day but over $1.1 million ahead overall in the trainers’ championship.
