KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Samantha Fletcher carved out her second win for the 2021 season when she guided four-year-old bay colt Jon P in a gate to wire performance to win the first of nine races offered on the Caymanas Sunday (Feb 28) race day.
Trained by Colin Ferguson, Jon P quickly established himself in front chased by 3-5 favourite Diamond League (Kerry-Gayl Robinson) coming from the outside draw.
Fletcher and Jon P established a lead of about three lengths when they turned for home and try as Diamond League might he could not catch Jon P. Sniper Man (Tevin Foster) was third.
