KINGSTON, Jamaica – KINGSTON, Jamaica – The top-rated horse in the country, Dale Murphy-trained Runaway Algo, is the red-hot favorite to secure his 11th career win from 20 starts, as well as its fourth consecutive victory on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
Runaway Algo will compete in the day's feature race, the None Such Sprint, which takes place over six furlongs.
The Quick Galloper's analysis for our readers is as follows. Note that this assessment is based on the Overnight and may change when the Final Program is released later today.
1 - SHE'S MY DESTINY is the acknowledged speedster in this lineup. Although aiming for three consecutive wins, She's My Destiny is better suited for the exacta position despite receiving considerable weight from main rival, Runaway Algo.
2 – KING ARTHUR returns from a well-earned 42-day break but faces strong competition here. He will need more time to regain his form before future races.
3 – LURE OF LUCY is acclimating to top-tier racing. She may provide some initial resistance, but it won't be enough to secure victory in the None Such Sprint.
4 – RUNAWAY ALGO is currently the best of the bunch. Despite carrying significant weight in this race, it won't be an obstacle due to his class and proven prowess. Six furlongs may be a bit short for Runaway Algo; however, it should not pose a significant challenge.
5 – GOD OF LOVE attempts another Grade One race. Although he possesses speed and an ability to finish strong, he won't genuinely challenge the two main contenders, She's My Destiny and Runaway Algo.
6 – GENERATIONAL can be safely ruled out from contention.

i must commend the owner of ALGO on his decision to race this talented horse just one week apart,this shows a lot of confidence in this sprinter /stayer thoroughbred who is now in pink of form.allowing weight all round its gonna be interesting to see the final tme of this sprint..ill make a guess 1:13.00 FLAT

Algo did 113.0 flat but she's my destiny did 111.3...nothing was in Algo's favor..too much weight difference,sprint distance and short rest...I would have bypass this race and go to the Gold cup and then the mouttet mile...but I trust the connections knows best .
