KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was gate to wire affair for the Dennis Lee trained Roy Rogers in the first of 10 races on the mid-week programme at Caymanas Park.
Ridden by leading rider, apprentice Chris Mamdeen, Roy Rogers shot to the front from the off, and made every post a winning one in the RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE II (3YOSCOLTS&GELDS/NW2) event run over six furlongs.
Roy Rogers was 4 ¼ lengths ahead of Yet Again (Reyan Lewis – 13-1) with Fresh Cash (Javaniel Patterson – 4-1) taking the third spot.
The winning time for the distance on offer was 1:12.4.
This was Mamdeen’s 56 winner for the year.
