KINGSTON, Jamaica - The second race on Labour Day is designated for three-year-old maidens going a mile.

Seven maidens are entered with The Quick Galloper assessment presented below.

1 - D BAY MACHINE is a chestnut colt (March 3) by Tapilu out of Lady Elaine, trained by Jason DaCosta with Josue Osorio riding. Has started to display evidence of improvement; still way off target from winning.

2 - SEA PLANE is a bay gelding (March 27) by Storm Craft out of Face Tracker, trained by Gordon Lewis with Shane Richardson aboard. Nominated to race on March 30, Sea Plane was declared a late non-starter - injured. He has much to learn.

3 - SPRAGGA is a bay colt (April 11) by Savoy Stomp out of Win Bracelet, trained by Lincoln Lungs with Prince Holder in the saddle. Note that Spragga races with the blinkers on. Slowly coming along, Spragga has a chance of hitting the board.

4 - ROCK-OLA is a chestnut colt (April 3) by Bold Conquest out of Kitty Hawk, trained by Michael Marlowe with Phillip Parchment holding the reins. Has raced seven times, recording some good efforts, including a second-place finish on last (May 11), 3 ½ lengths behind Smart Trick at seven furlongs. In that event, Rock-Ola was running on in the final furlong, making the distance of a mile just about right.

5 - BRENDA BOY is a bay colt (April 3) by Savoy Stomp out of Delightful Benda, trained by Fitzgerald Richards, with Tevin Foster as the designated jockey. Was a close second in his last effort going the two turns of nine furlongs and 25 yards behind King Piye. This colt has been consistent throughout his six-race career, with the perfect opportunity now presenting itself.

6 - PAPPIE DON is a bay colt (January 20) by Sensational Slam out of Sparkling Michaela, trained by Lennis Shim with Robert Halledeen riding. Has not shown anything from four starts to suggest a winning effort is close.

7 - SOLO BLACK is a bay colt (March 14) by Northern Giant out of Late N Drafty, trained by Lawrence Freemantle with Kawise Gentle aboard. Needs lots more time.
