KINGSTON, Jamaica – After finishing second in his last three runs, Rising Saint trained by Edward Stanberry went one better in the Caymanas Saturday fifth when he shook  the maiden tag from off his back.

Raising Saint first win was accomplished in a three-year-old maiden condition call at 6 ½ furlongs.

Jockey Chris Mamdeen on Rising Saint stayed off the early goings of Khai Alexis (Paul Francis) Midnight Blue (Anthony Thomas) with 6-5 favourite Enrapture (Dane Dawkins) occupying the third slot.

After passing the three-furlong point on the course, Rising Saint and Enrapture moved together and quickly left the rest behind.

The final two furlongs belonged to Rising Saint who pulled away to win by 2 ¼ lengths. Enrapture was second and Khai Alexis third.
