Trainers Renex Burrell and Marlon Anderson saddled their first winners for the season when their charges Jaxson and Super Duper respectively won their races on Sunday, September 30, 2023, at Caymanas Park.

Jaxson, ridden by Oshane Nugent, won a native-bred five-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) at 6 ½ furlongs (1,300m).

Jaxson easily won by 8 ½ lengths ahead of Mule Train (Phillip Parchment) and Matriarch (Jordan Barrett) in a time of 1:23.4 (24.4 x 49.4 x 1:16.1).

Super Duper without any fuss by 3 ¾ lengths ahead of Phoenix Risen (Shamaree Muir) and Den Street (Oshane Nugent). The race finished in a time of 1:00.0 (22.4 x 46.0).
