KINGSTON, Jamaica — Relentless weather has brought a premature end to Saturday’s racing action at Caymans Park.
Following two days of heavy downpours that swept across the island, which continued today (Saturday, October 14, 2026), races nine and ten on the ten-race card were officially abandoned.
Track management confirmed the abandonement via a public address announcement saying in part: “Races nine and ten have been abandoned as the jockeys say the track is unsafe to ride on.”
Before the abandoned the track was deemed as sloppy by the track superintendent.
