After a close call against Legal Fight on August 1, Proudest Vision returned to the track to clinch her first career win in her fourth start on August 9, 2025. The native-bred three-year-old filly, owned and conditioned by Carlton Cunningham, surged to victory in a 5½ furlong maiden contest for local three-year-olds.
Apprentice rider Shaheem Gordon gave a confident ride aboard the chestnut filly, who stopped the clock at 1:10.2. Breaking alertly, she settled into a stalking position behind the pace-setting newcomer Rush of Class (piloted by Oneil Mullings), conserving energy through the early fractions.
As the runners turned for home, Proudest Vision shifted gears and swept past the leader with authority. She finished a comfortable length and a half ahead of Royal Maverick (Robert Halledeen), while Rush of Class faded to third.
Proudest Vision is an offspring of Patton Proud Visionary Wonder.
The win brings Cunningham’s seasonal tally to five.
