KINGSTON, Jamaica - The Jamaica Oaks, an esteemed Classic event exclusively designed for fillies, is all set to showcase the prowess of eleven exceptional racehorses. Spread across 10 furlongs of thrilling competition, this captivating race will take place on Saturday, August 5, 2023.

As the excitement mounts, fans and spectators anticipate witnessing a dynamic contest among these promising fillies striving for honour and glory.

- MPRS LINKS is a bay filly (March 29( by Admiral Alex out of Brewed To Perfection, trained by Jason DaCosta with Jerome Innis aboard. This filly will provide support to her more progressive stablemate, Thalita.

- ALL FOR LOVE is a chestnut filly by Nuclear Wayne out of Princess Sallema, trained by Gary Subratie with Allen Maragh in the saddle. Note, All For Love races with the visor. All For Love ran poorly in the Jamaica St Leger over 10 furlongs after coming third in the 1000 Guineas behind stablemates Mamma Mia and Thalita on June 3. All For Love is bred to cover a lot of ground and given that this is a filly's lone race, she is predicted to run a much better race.

- PRINCESS SHARON is a bay filly (February 15) by Soul Warrior out of  Princess Shine, trained by Fitzroy Glispie with Tevin Foster aboard. Ran an impressive race to finish third behind Thalita and stablemate Money Misery in the Jamaica St Leger over 10 furlongs. Princess Sharon has made excellent progress against the finest in the St Leger and has done tremendously well. Princess Sharon would be the best finishing filly from the St Leger if Thalita chose the Jamaica Derby, making her the horse to defeat here.

- MAMMA MIA is a chestnut filly (February 26) by Soul Warrior out of  Princess Greeta, trained by Jason DaCosta with Phillip Parchment aboard.  Winner of the 1000 Guineas who placed fifth in the recent Jamaica St Leger. Mamma Mia should get this distance again and may put up a better fight because the race is limited to fillies only. Mamma Mia is expected to make a bold bid plus she is gifted among a moderate set of rivals.

- BROWN SKIN GIRL is a chestnut fill (April 22) by Bold Quest – out of Girl Talk, trained by Jason DaCosta with Reyan Lewis in the saddle. Looks as if Brown Skin Girl is going to enjoy this trip. Brown Skin Girl should run an honest race with her best work expected to be highlighted in the final two furlongs.

-POWER FROM ABOVE is a chestnut filly (February 25) by Key To Power Blufield, trained by Anthony Nunes with Dane Dawkins aboard. Got off the mark 28 days ago. Now, Power From meets multiple winners making her task of winning difficult.

- ESSENTIAL QUALITY is a chestnut filly (April 16) : (3 ch f by Sensational Slam out of Texas Missy, trained by Oral Hayden with Javaniel Patterson aboard. Winning is not on the cards for Essential Quality.

- BELLA BELLA is an imported in-utero chestnut filly (March 23) by Bal A Bali – Bee R Bee trained by Dale Murphy with Raddesh Roman in the saddle. Will not affect the outcome. Note, Bella Bella races with the visor off.

- SAVVY GIRL is a bay filly (April 9) by Savoy Stomp out of Runallday, trained by Anthony Nunes with Youville Pinnock aboard. Difficult to see Savvy Girl making a strong impression in this Classic event.

- LADY ABHIMALA is a chestnut filly (March 8) by Legal Progress out of Lady Abhijta, trained by Rowan Mathie with Paul Francis in the saddle. Lady Abhijita will not be a problem for the principals. Note, Lady Abijita races with the blinkers on.

- SHE’S MYHEDGEFUND is a chestnut filly (March 3) by Hedge Fund out of Thisgirlisonfire, trained by Jason DaCosta with Oshane Nugent aboard. – Enters the Oaks with no credentials for winning.
