THREE YEAR OLD 2025 - 56 89

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The fifth of ten races on Saturday, June 7, 2025, pays tribute to former Jamaica Oaks winner, Marlene My Love.

This event is exclusive to three-year-old maiden fillies, covering 5 ½ furlongs.

Fourteen contenders are entered, and The Quick Galloper provides analysis in draw order.

1 – SHE IS MY DREAM, bred by Seeking My Dream out of Sea of Galilee, trained by Ian Alexander with Ramon Nepare aboard. Blinkers removed. Showed little on debut, expected to improve.

2 – BABY GREY, sired by Midnight Hawk out of Alienate, trained by Oraldo Chin with Youville Pinnock riding. Four races in, yet to prove competitive.

3 – DUTCHESS, by Casual Trick out of Curlin’s Macbeth, trained by Anthony Nunes with Omar Walker up. Struggled at a mile on May 23. Shorter distance may suit better.

4 – AFRICAN BEAUTY, offspring of Resurgence out of Cruizing Beauty, trained by Joseph Thomas with Andrew Wright. First race, training has shown no signals of promise.

5 – SUSIE Q, by Storm Craft out of Dee-Q, trained by Anthony Smith with Michael Bryan in the saddle. Blinkers and figure eight added.

6 – CUTOUT, bred by Wannabeaplayer out of What’s Your Story, trained by Raymond Townsend with Romane Gordon. Solid showing on May 31 debut, could factor in exotics.

7 – GIANT VIGOROUS, by Here Comes Ben out of Glorious Cause, trained by Rowan Mathie with Oneil Mullings. Blinkers on. Most seasoned in the group with ten races, fluctuating performances suggest a minor placing is achievable.

8 – LIFE IS LIFE, sired by Hedge Fund out of Necromancer, trained by Gary Griffiths with Rotajmar Weir. Five starts, merits consideration among leading contenders.

9 – SHAN SHAN, offspring of Deputy Glitters out of Princess Sallema, trained by Adrian Prince with Jaheim Anderson. Tongue tie removed. Needs more experience.

10 – PROUDEST VISION, by Patton Proud out of Visionary Wonder, trained by Carlton Cunningham with Jureau Stewart.

11 – WOMAN IN LOVE, bred by Sensational Slam out of Woman Is Boss, trained by Peter-John Parsard with Raddesh Roman. Blinkers applied. Returned 34 days ago with a third-place finish at six furlongs. Expected to improve over slightly shorter trip.

12 – YOU’RE MY SWEETIE, sired by Bern Identity out of Mom Rules, trained by Gary Subratie with Carlton Malcolm aboard. Good lineage, progress seen in training, merits attention.

13 – BUBBLING WARRIOR, offspring of Soul Warrior out of Bubbling Angeline, trained by Christopher Pearson with Richie Shakes. Placed second at four furlongs on debut, closing well. Distance increase is the key factor.

14 – CHASING MY DREAM, by Seeking My Dream out of Full Throttle, trained by Jason DaCosta with Gavin Harris. First time using Lasix. Previous races suggest limited prospects.
