KINGSTON, Jamaica – Foreigner Power trained by Philip Feanny, and ridden by Omar Walker, racing with first time Lasix ran out as the easy winner of the Jamaica Day seventh.

Sponsored by the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission and the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders’ Association, the Jamaica Day seventh was for two-year-old maidens going 6 furlongs.

Stablemates Power and Babylike (Paul Francis) along with Awesome Rich (Tevin Foster) were locked in battle from the starting stall were opened. Supreme Song (Shane Ellis), a half-brother to Toona Ciliata, and 4-5 favourite could not go with the speed.

Power after 2 ½ furlongs took over and in the last two furlongs pulled away from the rest to win by five lengths.

Supreme Song finished second and Our Angel (Dick Cardenas) third.

Power was the second winner on the day for Walker.
