KINGSTON, Jamaica – The second race on Sunday, March 5, 2023, has six starters at the four-year-old and upwards non-winners of four level going seven furlongs.

The Quick Galloper’s assessment is published below.

1 – PELICULA is struggling to find her way in this category. That struggle continues on Sunday.

2 – OUR ANGEL has not reproduced the form that led to her gaining success in the 2022 fillies-only Jamaica Oaks Classic race. Our Angel finished third by 7 lengths on February 11, and now with two runs this year under her belt can get close at decision time.

3 – BABYLIKE enters non-winners of four for the first occasion after a fighting victory going nine furlongs and 25 yards - 11 days ago. Babylike is in the pink of form at the moment, and despite the upgrade in class, the opportunity of making it three wins in succession is not far fetched.

4 – FREEDOM STREET was not far off behind winner Luksol on February 25 coming down the five-straight chute. Freedom Street has proven his worth at seven furlongs and having that pipe opener cannot be taken out of the reckoning.

5 – TEKAPUNT always seems to find one or two better in his races. Tekapunt’s best chance of winning is by coming from behind, especially if the early speed falters.

6 – POWER RANKING can accurately be called Mr Consistent with 9 on-the-board performances from 12 career starts.  The journey does not pose a problem, thereby giving Power Ranking every chance of winning.
