The feature event of ten races on Saturday, July 18, 2026, is the Thoroughbred Racing Hall-of-Fame Stakes Trophy, an Open Allowance for three-year-olds and upward at six furlongs.

Eight runners have been declared, and The Quick Galloper’s assessment is presented in post-position order.

1 – MIGHTY GULLY

This locally bred filly brings natural speed to the table, but against seasoned imports she faces a daunting task. A minor placing is the most realistic outcome.

2 – DON KWESI

Among the better-performing locals at present, Don Kwesi has shown consistency. Yet, in this company, his chances of troubling the principals are slim.

3 – DESERT OF MALIBU (USA)

A foreigner of proven class, though her recent form has dipped below past standards. She finished fifth behind Don Kwesi and California Crown over 5½ furlongs on May 30. If she rediscovers her spark, Desert of Malibu could influence the early headlines and run a more competitive race than expected.

4 – PHENOMENAL POWER (USA)

The colt who electrified Caymanas Park on July 4 by smashing Sky Train’s 43-year-old track record, stopping the clock at 1:29.0 for 7½ furlongs. That was his first attempt beyond 5½ furlongs, and he handled it with authority. This six-furlong assignment serves as a prep for the Diamond Mile on July 25. Phenomenal Power is developing rapidly, marked as a special talent, and remains the one to watch.

 5 – DOTHRAKI (USA)

Returned from a long layoff on June 20, finishing second behind Digital One over five furlongs round. Followed up with a sharp win on July 5, clocking 1:04.2 for 5½ furlongs. Once touted highly, health setbacks stalled his progress, but he now appears back in good order. Dothraki shapes up as the main danger to Phenomenal Power.

6 – CALIFORNIA CROWN

A pace-forward runner who will likely contest the early fractions. However, sustaining that effort against stronger finishers looks improbable.

7 – UNBELIEVABLE FORCE (USA)

Scored last time out but faces a far sterner test here. A repeat victory seems unlikely given the depth of opposition.

8 – DIGITAL ONE (USA)

A talented mare with the ability to stay involved throughout. While victory may be a stretch, she is a solid candidate for exotic wagers.
