The second race on Saturday, July 4, 2026, is for three and four-year-olds non-winners of four races and imported three-year-old and up non-winners of three races.

This event has attracted only five starters, going 5 ½ furlongs.

The Quick Galloper’s analysis of the possible outcome is published below in draw order.

1 – MIDNIGHT TRAVELLER

A three-year-old chestnut filly who is overmatched in this company. Likely to trail throughout and adds little more than numbers to the field.

2 – PEPPER STEPPER

An imported runner blessed with raw speed. His lone victory came at this exact trip, and he looks poised to dictate terms once again. Catching him will be a tall order as he has no real contenders on the headlines.

3 – FIDELITY

Faces rivals far beyond his current ability. Unlikely to make any impact and can be safely ignored in calculations.

4 – FERNANDO

The sole entrant not trained by Jason DaCosta. Recent form has been uninspiring, but the addition of a visor could spark improvement. A minor placing for the exacta is his best realistic outcome.

5 – NOVIO

Scored impressively on debut June 13, finishing strongly to reel in another foreigner, I Am Who I Am. Will need to produce a similar late surge to challenge stablemate Pepper Stepper, but remains the main danger.
