KINGSTON, Jamaica – Dr Frederick Foote, a long-standing and respected figure in the horse racing community, passed away early this morning, Tuesday, August 12, at a medical facility in Florida, USA.

Dr Foote was a passionate owner of racehorses both in Jamaica and the United States. His Jamaican partnerships included notable runners such as Sonny T and Chippy, while in the US, his horse Trench Town Rock earned acclaim with several impressive victories.

Beyond his contributions as an owner, Dr Foote also served on the First Instance Tribunal of the Jamaica Racing Commission, offering his expertise and dedication to the sport's governance.
