Overnight sprint – any number can play

KINGSTON, Jamaica - The Restricted Overnight Allowance event should give support to the feature event — the Cash Pot “Only One For Me” Trophy on tomorrow’s 10-race programme at Caymanas Park.

Nine runners contest this three-year-old and upwards event going the minimum distance on the round course at five furlongs (1,000m).

Below is an analysis of the starters.

1. TARANIS: (7-y-o ch g - Adore The Gold – Beware Baby) - Returned to the winners’ enclosure for the first time since 2016 when he came home quite easily in an Optional Claiming ($1,000,000 - $850,000) event on September 11 over 5 furlongs (1,000m) round. Taranis then ran no race in his next start and finished down the track in the seven-furlong (1,400m) contest on September 28. Now back at five round, Taranis can have a say in this one.
2. DUNROBIN: (6-y-o b. g – Blue Pepsi Lodge – En Vogue) – A decent runner who is going to find the principals too hot to handle.
3. CAPTUREMYSHIP: (5-y-o b h - Adore The Gold – Mayken Joy) – Another one who was down the track in the seven-furlong race on September 28. Capturemyship has been doing quite well and despite that disappointing last effort he will not be far away at the end. Capturemyship can rebound with a win.
4. LADY BLUE: (3-y-o ch. f - Blue Pepsi Lodge – The Vibes Lady) – A very consistent sort who hardly runs a bad race. Lady Blue has been showing up in her races and with her stable doing well of late, look for a capital effort. Lady Blue has a glorious chance of winning.
5. ANASO: (4-y-o b g – Distorted – Slim Ting) – Not doing badly of late despite his last two runs being disappointing. Anaso should not be left out of calculations.
6. REIGNING KING: (4-y-0 ch c – Miracle Man – Quickster) – Did extremely well to reach this level but is going to need two or more runs to catch the pace of this level.
7. EL PROFESOR: (4-y-o b g - Casual Trick – The Principal) – Struggling for form and should be bypassed.
8. CORAZON: (3-y-o b f - Blue Pepsi Lodge – My Heartbeat) – Has been doing poorly but Corazon can show up with a surprising run.
9. LICI’S PEPSI: (4-y-o dkb f - Blue Pepsi Lodge - First Choice) - Really struggling in her races and that should continue.
