KINGSTON, Jamaica - The third race on Saturday, January 25, 2025, features a four-year-old maiden event for fillies and mares at five furlongs straight.
Seven horses have been entered to contest this race, and The Quick Whisperer’s take on the outcome is provided below in post-position order.
1 - MISS COUPERSLAND made her debut on January 4, without making any impact despite being well-backed. Not much more is expected in this one. Note that Miss Coupersland races with blinkers on and first-time Lasix.
2 - VALLEY OF LOVE is not a regular starter coming down the straight. It is a wait-and-see position with this one, yet after finishing third last time out on January 18, she must be respected.
3 - SECRET MISSION has been way off the mark in her 12 previous efforts. That trend is expected to continue, as she races with blinkers and a tongue tie.
4 - APLOMB has also been off the mark in recent times, with no change anticipated. Aplomb races with the tongue tie.
5 - LAGERTHA will be racing for the first time. This is where the learning curve begins.
6 - LADY SARSUTTA has been unlucky to still be in the maiden category. She has shown some good runs over the five straight, giving her an excellent chance of success, especially against lesser rivals.
7 - UNDECLARED WAR has been showing improved form in her last three outings, making her a good option for a placing on the board.
