KINGSTON, Jamaica – The three-year-old season has started to pick up momentum. Seven maidens from this cohort square off on the five straight course.

The Quick Galloper’s analysis is provided for the scrutiny of readers. This analysis is done in post-position order.

1 – TRULY BEGOTTEN SON is a bay colt (March 16) by Bern Identity out of Sexy Moon trained by Patrick Smellie with Raddesh Roman in the saddle. Did well seven days ago when finishing strongly in third place behind Boasey. Since that effort, Truly Begotten Son has been regularly schooled at the gates by his trainer. Despite the one draw, Truly Begotten Son is poised for another productive run. Note, Truly Begotten Run races with the blinkers on.

2 – CURLIN’S NOON is a bay colt (March 17) by Perfect Curlin out of Noon It Is trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster in the saddle. This well-bred colt makes his debut after being well-prepared. Has caught the eye at exercise, with a winning run expected.

3 – ROARING THUNDER is a grey colt (April 16) by Spieth out of Little Thunder trained by Gary Griffiths with Andre Powell in the saddle. The experienced one in this lot with four starts yet needs more time to have a creditable impact. Note, Roaring Thunder races with the tongue tie on.

4 – SWEET VICTORY is a grey filly (February 18) by Spieth out of Bitter End trained by Howard Jaghai with Aaron Chatrie aboard. Has shown nothing in her two runs to date. Note, Sweet Victory races with the tongue tie on.

5 – SHE’S A MIRAGE is a bay filly (March 29) by Casual Trick out of Full Moon’s Enough trained by Jason DaCosta with Robert Halledeen aboard. Shown nothing in her three outings to date and was removed from her last outing with the official reason given as injured. The change of rider from Abigail Able to Robert Halledeen is significant. Will run better with a winning still a hard task. Note, She’s A Mirage races with the tongue tie on.

6 – SPEEDIE HARE is a bay filly (April 1) by Conquest Cherimash out of Honeymoon Bay. This filly is making her first appearance with morning reports indicating that she has speed, which will have an impact in the early stages of this contest. Watch closely.

7 – TRU IDENTITY is a bay filly (May 31) by Bern Identity out of Quiet Grandeur trained by Roy Matthews with Oshane Nugent in the saddle. Needs time. Notes, Tru Identity races with the tongue tie on.
