KINGSTON, Jamaica –  It was an enthralling clash involving top jockeys Anthony Thomas and Omar Walker which culminated in victory for Walker in the eighth race at Caymanas on the Richard Azan trained Coppertone.

Walker was in no haste when the gates opened settling Coppertone in third behind leaders Ocean Wave (Anthony Thomas) and Wifey Sez So (Larris Allen) as the three-year-old maiden condition contest unfolded over 5 ½ furlongs.

Ocean Wave kept the advantage entering the straight and looked as if she had the race in her pocket but Walker kept plugging away on Coppertone who got into his work nabbing Ocean Wave close home to win by three-parts of a length.

Third four lengths behind the leading pair was Adoring Sammie (Tevin Foster).

The winning time was 1:08.0.

The win by Coppertone completed a double for Walker.
