KINGSTON, Jamaica – After disappointing as the 4-5 favourite on debut, two-year-old roan colt Fearless Champion (Omar Walker) made amends a short while ago when he romped the fifth race as the 11-race Saturday card continued at Caymanas Park.

Trained by Wayne DaCosta and starting at even money, Fearless Champion (Fearless Vision – Granville Greta) was up with the early pacesetters in the four-furlong straight contest for maiden two-year-olds.

Newcomer Danny Spud (Shamaree Muir – 13-1) was the early leader but when Walker pushed the go button, Fearless Champion responded and powered away from his six rivals to win by an expanding five lengths.

Danny Spud held for second over another first timer Billejo (Christopher Mamdeen).

The winning time recorded by Fearless Champion was 47.2.

The 4-5 odds on favourite Native Gold (Shane Ellis) ran no race at all and did not hit the board.

Purposely was a late non-starter – lame.
