Nuclear Jet, a three-year-old chestnut colt by Bern Identity out of Nuclear Force, notched his second win from four career starts with a commanding performance on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Competing over seven furlongs, the colt delivered a tour de force, leaving his five rivals far behind in a display of speed and stamina.
Trained by the seasoned and respected Enos Brown and piloted by jockey Raddesh Roman, Nuclear Jet was making his first appearance in the non-winners-of-two condition. From the moment the gates opened, Roman wasted no time, urging the colt to the front with minimal effort. Once in command, Nuclear Jet settled into a smooth rhythm, dictating the pace with authority.
As the field turned for home, Roman gave the signal and Nuclear Jet responded with an explosive burst, effortlessly widening his lead. He crossed the finish line an astonishing 17¼ lengths ahead of the field, stopping the clock at 1:28.1.
This emphatic victory has now thrust Nuclear Jet into the spotlight as a possible contender for the prestigious 12-furlong Jamaica Derby, scheduled for August 6.
Adding to the intrigue is the fact that trainer Enos Brown is no stranger to Derby success. He saddled the Triple Crown champion Monday Morning to victory in the same event.
