Six juveniles line up for a maiden contest over six furlongs, on the final race day of 2025, on Saturday, December 27, with four making their first career start.
The Quick Galloper shares insights on each runner and the likely outcome.
1 – ANOTHER WOW
Bay filly (April 10) by Casual Trick out of Sarah Barracuda. Trainer: Anthony Nunes | Jockey: Raddesh Roman
Sarah Barracuda has already produced notable winners including Sarah Lee, Crimson, Wow Wow, Curlin’s Barracuda, Wowtastic, and Wow How. Another Wow has been steadily prepared, with several gallops under her belt. In her final spin on December 20, she clocked 1:02.2 for five furlongs working alongside Miss Grove. Appears fit and ready for her debut, and pedigree suggests she could be competitive right away.
2 – TOTAL ECLIPSE
Bay colt (April 10) by Savoy Stomp out of My Episode. Trainer: Alford Brown | Jockey: Demar Williams
My Episode has already produced My Eclipse. Total Eclipse has shown promise in the mornings, including a gallop of 49.3 seconds for four furlongs on December 17. He enters well-prepared and looks capable of making an impact first time out.
3 – SENSATIONAL DESTINY
Bay colt (March 17) by Successful Native out of Flying Machine. Trainer: Alford Brown | Jockey: Romario Spencer
Observers note Sensational Destiny has been moving well in exercise but may still need more time to fully develop. While showing potential, he could be better suited with additional racing experience before delivering his best.
4 – STARDOM
Bay colt (April 4) by Sensational Slam out of Trinket Box. Trainer: Gary Subratie | Jockey: Dane Dawkins
Trinket Box has produced Calculus, Sonny T And Chippy, and Money Box. Stardom is a well-bred colt who has progressed steadily in the mornings. His pedigree suggests stamina, and while he may be outpaced early, he seemingly has the ability to finish strongly over six furlongs.
5 – THE CHEF MASTER
Bay colt (March 17) by Here Comes Ben out of Dancing Riddim. Trainer: Edward Stanberry | Jockey: Richie Shakes
Dancing Riddim has produced Don Tudor, E J Makit, Miss Elaine, and Lion’s Den. The Chef Master has already raced three times but has yet to show winning form. He races with a tongue tie, but his past efforts suggest he may struggle to make a serious impact here.
6 – ANOTHER QUALITY
Chestnut filly (March 8) by Sensational Slam out of Naturally Mystical. Trainer: Oral Hayden | Jockey: Javaniel Patterson
Another Quality has raced twice but has been well behind in both attempts. No significant improvement is expected, and she will likely find this company too strong.
The Quick Galloper’s Verdict
This maiden event is dominated by the debutants, with Another Wow and Total Eclipse looking sharp in their morning gallops and bred to deliver early. Stardom is another with strong credentials, expected to run on late. The experienced pair, The Chef Master and Another Quality, have shown little so far, while Sensational Destiny may need more time.
