KINGSTON, Jamaica - Newly minted apprentice Youville Pinnock had the distinction of riding the first winner of his career on the Fitzroy Glispie trained Outrageous in the sixth race on the New Year’s Day card at Caymanas Park a short while ago.
Pinnock looking quite accomplished in the saddle mixed it up on the lead with Out On A Limb (Raddesh Roman 2-1), in a Restricted Allowance 11 event for four-year-olds and upwards – non winners of two run over six furlongs.
Outrageous took over the running when they entered the straight but Out On a Limb on the inside rails was not giving up. Pinnock pushed as hard as he could and got the job done by 1 ¼ lengths over Out On A Limb with the late starting Cleopatra’s Child finishing third.
