Money Monster ‘scrapes paint’ to nip victory in Caymanas Sunday seventh

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Scraping paint on the inside rails, Money Monster with apprentice Youville Pinnock aboard got up to pip Salvation by a neck in the just run Caymanas Sunday seventh.

Racing in the second to last position, Money Monster looked out of the reckoning as Salvation (Paul Francis) and Laban battled for the early lead. After a furlong and a half Salvation shot ahead of the rest and turned for home looking strong. But Pinnock got Money Monster to click racing along the inside rails and in the last three strides put his neck in front of Salvation. Excessive Force who was slowly out finished third.

Trained by Fitzroy ‘Pumpkin’ Glispie, Money Monster a bay gelding by casual Trick – She’s Traditional was winning his second race on the trot.
