The ninth and final event on Sunday’s card, an Overnight Allowance contest over six furlongs saw the talented local thoroughbred Mojito stage a return to form.
Partnered with rider Tajay Suckoo for trainer Richard Azan, Mojito encountered traffic trouble during the early stages of the race.
Unruffled by the spotty run, Suckoo bided his time before unleashing a strong stretch effort, driving Mojito past the Nicardo Carr-ridden Wall Street Trader inside the final furlong to secure the win.
