The ninth race of nine on Sunday, October 18, 2026, is designated for locally bred three-year-olds non-winners and also for three-year-old maiden foreigners. A maximum field of 12 is entered to compete over the two-turns of nine furlongs and 25 yards. The Quick Galloper’s analysis of the 12 entered is provided below in post-position order.
1 – MINNIEHAHA
Bay filly (February 23) by Savoy Stamp out of Red Gold
Trainer: Robert Pearson
Jockey: Omar Walker
Has taken a while to earn her second success. Minniehaha has hit the board in most of her eleven starts to date, this consistency should hold her in good stead especially going two turns. Expect Minniehaha to go to the lead, and if left unmolested can go from post to post.
2 – ABUDAR
Bay colt (January 16) by Savoy Stomp out of Ship Sham
Trainer: Richard Azan
Jockey: Garvin Harris
Abudar has been holding his own in non-winners of two. Will appreciate the distance having finished third over the same trip running on July 18. A good option for the exotic wagers.
3 – CODE RED
Chestnut colt (May 4) by Aveenu Malcainu out of Eighteen Karat
Trainer: Anthony Nunes
Jockey: Paul Francis
Equipment Change: Blinkers off
Code Red has found it difficult since campaigning at this level and is unproven over a distance of ground. It is going to be difficult for Code Red to prevail in this one even with the blinkers off.
4 – NATIVE ISLE
Brown colt (April 3) by Successful Native out of Mary’s Gold
Trainer: Phillip Lee
Jockey: Jaheim Anderson
Still finding his way in this grade.
5 – BRODY’S UNITY (USA)
Bay colt (February 15) by Brody’s Cause out of Bagatelle Park
Trainer: Colin Elcock
Jockey: Evertte Clunis
This foreigner in nine starts to date has been underwhelming. No change is expected.
6 – CROWN COURT
Bay colt (April 2) by Conquest Cherimash out of Black Bombshell
Trainer: Gary Subratie
Jockey: Tajay Suckoo
Enters non-two for the first time after releasing the maiden tag 64 days ago travelling the same trip of this contest. Yet, the best on offer for Crown Court is a possible place on the board.
7 – CHEDWRICK HUMOR
Chestnut colt (April 21) by Verve’s Humor out of Grey Empress
Trainer: Fitzgerald Richards
Jockey: Dane Dawkins
Won second time out going 6 ½ furlongs, running on. Might be difficult extending to nine furlongs even around two turns.
8 – GULFSTREAM CAT
Bay filly (April 3) by Savoy Stomp out of Burning Clearance
Trainer: Carl Anderson
Jockey: Prince Holder
Equipment Change: Cheek Pieces on
Did well in the 10-furlong Jamaica Oaks running on to finish third behind Dream Catcher and Giving Thanks. Since then, Gulfstream Cat has raced over shorter distances, 5 ½ furlongs and 6 furlongs; returning to a more suitable trip has increased her stock.
9 – D.O.K
Bay colt (May 2) by Spieth out of Regency
Trainer: Anthony Nunes
Jockey: Phillip Parchment
Won on last (September 26) at a mile. This is his first attempt at non-two. May need time to learn the rigours of this class.
10 – SPANISH FULL MOON (USA)
Brown filly (May 5) by Global Response out of Spanish Slew
Trainer: Oral Hayden
Jockey: Raddesh Roman
Equipment Change: Visor on
Foreigner who showed nothing when making her debut 15 days ago. Now with the visor on is expected to do much better.
11 – PROPERITY SEN
Bay colt (May 20) by Aveenu Malcainu out of Sencity
- Trainer: Colin Elcock
- Jockey: Shane Richardson
Cannot handle these.
12 – MS PROSECUTOR
Bay filly (April 17) by Aveenu Malcainu out of Supreme Magic
Trainer: Everal Francis
Jockey: Richie Shakes
Enters non-two for the first occasion. Has to adapt.
