KINGSTON, Jamaica - May Sellington, after nine career starts, finally found her head in front at the wire in a Maiden Special Weight event for native-bred three-year-olds travelling five furlongs round.

May Sellington got a good break, quickly going by rivals to take the advantage approaching the half-mile (800m) turn.

The Ryan Darby-trained May Sellington led James (Omar Walker), Attitude (Charlton Riley), Lady Ramdularie (Tevin Foster), and Tuts (Dane Dawkins) into the turn.

Turning for home, May Sellington was pressured by James on the inside rails but jockey Matthew Bennett dug deep and the bay filly responded with a fighting effort to win by a half-length.

James was second and Tuts finished third in a time of 1:01.4 (23.4 x 47.4).
