KINGSTON, Jamaica – After his scintillating victory on last, Mahogany’s status as the top-rated horse currently in training was solidified by the handicaps issued today (July 20) of the provisional entries in the seven-furlong Eros Trophy. The Eros Trophy, a Grade One event is scheduled to be contested on Saturday, July 30, at Caymanas Park.
Mahogany trained by Ian Parsard has been allotted top-weight of 126 lb (57.0 kgs) by the handicappers. He is followed in the handicaps by Calculus with 117 lb (53.0 kgs), and Further And Beyond 115 lb (52.0 kgs). A total of 23 horses have been provisionally entered in the Eros Trophy.
Please note, under the rules of racing, the highest weight a horse can carry in any race is 126 lb (57.0 kgs), while the lowest is 101 lb (46.0 kgs).
