Look For ‘Gold’ In The Saturday, March 11, 2023, Third

THREE 1

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The third race of nine on the Saturday card of March 11, 2023, is confined to three-year-old maidens over five furlongs round.

The Quick Galloper’s analysis is posted below for the perusal of readers.

1 – MAY SELLINGTON is a bay filly (March 26) by Natural Selection out of Luscious trained by Ryan Darby with Omar Walker in the saddle. A good looker in the mornings, who is racing for the first occasion, plus May Sellington is said to be of worth. Not quite ready as yet, but will get there.

2 – JACK DANIEL is a chestnut colt (March 1) by Soul Warrior out of Antioch trained by Keffin Murray with Andre Powell in the saddle. Racing for the first time, Jack Daniel is from a red-hot stable. Said to be coming along at exercise, with a favourable debut run expected.

3 – DIGITAL LIGHT is a bay filly (January 14) by Wannabeaplayer out of Morning Grace trained by Gary Griffiths with Chris Mamdeen aboard. This filly is finally rounding into some form and has a good enough chance of any in this one.

4 – SHE’S A MIRAGE is a bay filly (March 29) by Casual Trick out of Full Moon’s Enough trained by Jason DaCosta with Anthony Allen aboard. Did well to finish second 13 days ago going 5 ½ furlongs. Then She’s A Mirage led rivals making the five-furlong contest appealing for this filly.

5 – STRIKE SMART is a bay colt (February 16) by Wannabeaplayer out of Profile trained by Phillip Elliott with Richard Lunan holding the reins. Will learn from this his first run.

6 – CALIFORNIA GOLD is a bay colt (April 23) by Lion Tamer out of Blue Saphira trained by Patrick Lynch with Reyan Lewis aboard. Showed up well on his debut outing (March 5) when finishing fourth behind winner Rose Apple. Having benefitted from that opening appearance, California Gold is ready to go for win number one. Note, California Gold races with the blinkers on.

7 – DOUBLE THE CASH is a bay colt (April 23) by Patton Proud out of Dicolas Brat trained by Ian Parsard with Phillip Parchment in the saddle. Will learn.
