KINGSTON, Jamaica – Lion Talk crashed nearly all and sundry when he released the maiden tag with a crushing 37-1 victory in the Caymanas Wednesday eighth.
Lion Talk ridden by Shane Richardson for trainer Lawrence Freemantle among three-year-old peers going 5 ½ furlongs raced in third on the outside as Beautiful Bran (Oshane Nugent) with Ring Charmer were vying for the lead.
Richardson got closer with Lion Talk coming into the straight and quickly assumed the lead as Ring Charmer who had a difficult passage tried to catch Lion Talk but it was all in vain. Hijo Primero (Matthew Bennett) finished well to earn third place.
