The 2026 Reggae Trophy, a Graded Stakes | Open Allowance sprint for three-year-olds and up at five furlongs straight, featured six starters.

Among them was the Rohan Crichton-trained six-year-old bay horse, the US-bred Legacy Isle, making his first competitive appearance of the year.

Guided by jockey Raddesh Roman, Legacy Isle delivered a commanding performance, cruising to victory by 10 ¾ lengths in a sharp 57.1 seconds, after splits of 23.1 x 45.1. Pack Plays (Richie Shakes) finished second, while Another One (Joy Haynes) claimed third.

This triumph lifted Legacy Isle’s career record to nine wins from 19 starts, with combined US and local earnings now surpassing JA$43 million.

The result further confirmed his dominance over sprint distances on local soil. His stamina at longer trips remains in question, as seen in the Mouttet Mile, where he faded late after setting the pace, allowing Rideallday to sweep past.

In his last nine outings, Legacy Isle has captured six victories, with his longest winning distance being seven furlongs.

The table below charts Legacy Isle’s last nine outings, to include times, finishes, and distances.
