KINGSTON, Jamaica - The much touted Kingsman gave a smashing display to win the last of eight races on the New Year’s Day card – a Restricted Allowance contest for four-year-olds and upwards run over 6 ½ furlongs.

Ridden by apprentice Kiaman McGregor, Kingsman was held off the pace, before a change of hold by the rider early in the straight led to quick acceleration and victory by a commanding six and a half lengths in a fast timing of 1:18.3.

Second went to Latapy (Omar Walker) with foreigner My Switcharoo (Chris Mamdeen) occupying the third slot.

Kingsman provided McGregor with his 50th career win.
