KINGSTON, Jamaica – He was disqualified in two races back, but King Tavari made amends by winning the sixth event on the Labour Day card at Caymanas not long ago.
Ridden by Shane “Canter Man” Ellis and trained by Norman Smith, King Tavari was held close to the leaders before pulling away from his nine rivals in a Maiden Condition race for three-year-olds contested for over 6 ½ furlongs.
Second went to Celebration at 5-2 and third San Siro at 5-1. The winning time was 1:20.3.
One lucky punter was able to spot the winners in the Sunrise-6 and walked away with a handsome pay-out of $2,156,557.
