KINGSTON, Jamaica – King Arthur made an auspicious debut when he took home the third of 11 races on the first day (Friday, November 8) of the Diamond Mile Racing Weekend minutes ago at Caymanas Park.

King Arthur (2-5) trained by Wayne DaCosta and ridden by Omar Walker was with the early leaders in the 6 1/2 furlongs – maiden contest for two-year-olds – before pushing ahead with three furlongs to go.

In the straight, King Arthur was challenged by stablemate Eagle One (Raddesh Roman) but Walker asked the bay colt to respond and King Arthur found much more to win by 2 ½ lengths.

Second was Golden Heights who had a change of rider from Shamaree Muir to Trevor Simpson with Eagle One third.
