APPEAL – JOCKEY ROBERT HALLEDEEN vs. STEWARDS’ DECISION
On Wednesday 15th June, 2022, the Jamaica Racing Commission heard an appeal submitted by Jockey Robert Halledeen against the decision of the Stewards to fine him an amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00). This was in relation to the excessive use of his whip observed whilst aboard his mount Horse No. 5 EXPEDITIOUS leaving the 300-meter point of the 9th race on December 18, 2021.
After carefully reviewing the film of the race and submissions made by
Jockey Robert Halledeen who represented himself in the hearing, along with submissions from the Jamaica Racing Commission’s Operations Steward, the Commission being guided by rule 138 (5) of the JRC Racing Rules sustained the fine imposed by the Stewards in amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00).

    the then visiting panamanian herberto castillo who was suspended with a ban of mercy for too much whip use.instead of halladeen's aka HARDBALL ill change it to WHIPPERMAN.does any turfite agree with me...
