KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was a gate to wire affair for Lazer Light and jockey Dane Nelson as the combination easily took the sixth of 10 races on the Friday “Summit of Speed” programme at Caymanas Park moments ago.
It was an imperious Lazer Light who surged from post position number two in the Restricted Allowance V for four-year-olds and upwards (colts and geldings) non-winners of two run over five furlongs round.
Once in the leader, Nelson simply kept Lazer Light on a straight path and that was that for rivals. Lazer Light trained by Gary Griffiths went off at odds of 6-5.
Second went to Ridewiththemob (Raddesh Roman – 33-1) with Tradition (Samantha Fletcher – 37-1) third.
The winning time was 1:01.3.
