Following his recent injury, jockey Javaniel Patterson continued his competitive return with a quick double today (August 26, 2025) at the Assiniboia Downs race track in Canada.
Patterson’s first win came in race number two aboard the Jerry Gourneau trained number five, Baby Gundin.
The post-race report reads as follows: “BABY GUNDIN stalked forced pace off rail, challenged outside stretch, dueled, drew out from mid-stretch”.
Win number two for Patterson was achieved in race number four on horse number seven, Ghost Ya trained by Jason Homer.
