KINGSTON, Jamaica - Rumours have emerged from the Park's racing circuit that two prominent jockeys, former champion Dane Dawkins and Javaniel Patterson, are considering relocating to Canada.
Sources have not provided official statements from either jockey, but Quickgallopja.com reports that Patterson is expected to transfer to the Assiniboia Downs in Winnipeg shortly to further his career.
Patterson is scheduled to depart for Canada within the week.
Similarly, 2022 champion Dawkins is rumoured to be joining Patterson at Assiniboia Downs, although details remain unconfirmed.
