Billy Whizz, Nuclear Noon the main dangers
KINGSTON, Jamaica - Thirteen horses are down to take in what can only be described as a cracking five straight contest at the Overnight Allowance level the Sunday’s race card of April 3, 2022.
Below is THE QUICK GALLOPER analysis of each runner is set out below.
-
ROY ROGERS: (6 gr g by Distorted – Soca Party) – Not expected to be a factor here coming off a long break and drawn at the kiss of death one draw for the five straight. Note, Roy Rogers races with the figure 8 on.
-
LOOSE BALL:(5 dkb g by Fearless Vision – My Friend Lucy) – Has no recommended form.
-
ACERO:(4 ch c by Lion Tamer – Electrifying) – Always saves his best for the straight course. Acero has speed and will try to set off in front but he faces some talented rivals who he cannot handle at this stage.
-
BILLY WHIZZ: (4 ch g Northern Giant – Khadiliah) – After a tough and long three-year-old campaign Billy Whizz makes his seasonal bow and faces a few fierce competitors. Billy Whizz last raced in the Jamaica Cup last November where he finished second to Further and Beyond over the 9 ½ furlong trip. Billy Whizz should not find this trip too sharp and given his pace, could return with a win, especially with a relatively light impost.
-
CAPTUREMYSHIP: (8 b h by Adore The Gold – Maken Joy) – This eight-year-old is a true and embedded five-straighter. Capturemyship is his last 10 starts, has raced over the five-straight five times, winning twice. On Sunday, Capturemyship comes up against some real hot steppers but he cannot be counted out.
-
CRAFTY AND READY (USA): (5 b a by More Than Ready - Win Crafty) – A claiming winner on last who has no chance of winning. Note, Crafty and Ready new conditioner has taken off the visor and has put on the blinkers.
-
KAY BOY: (5 ch h by Rising Moon – Amicable) – The only thing that can be said about Kay Boy is that his last two wins have come over the straight course.
-
NUCLEAR NOON: (4 b c by Nuclear Wayne – Noon It Is) – Did well on last to finish third behind Patriarch and God of Love over the straight on February 13. Nuclear Noon should be fitter for that run and his chances here of winning are as good as any, plus he is coming down in class, thereby significantly enhancing his chances of winning.
-
RAS EMANUEL: (10 b h by Burning Marque – Pleasant Princess) – Consistent old-timer who always gives of his best, and is effective over the straight, but Ras Emanuel is going to find younger rivals giving nothing away.
-
JORDON REIGN’S (USA): (4 b g by Mosler - Dearie Be Good) – Talented American who has won three races from four starts on local soil, with two of those wins coming at five furlongs straight. Jordon Reign’s comes into this race well-rested after a break of 78 days. Jordon Reign’s has a win over I’ve Got Magic, the latter having moved up to the higher grade of Open Allowance, and is always competitive when returning from a period of rest. Jordon Reign’s is also drawn on the outside and is given the nod when all the positives are added up.
-
HIGH DILPOMACY: (5 b h by American Dance – Code Star) – Can be safely bypassed.
-
ONE DON (USA): (4 ch c by Chitu – Shezacrazygirl) – Well positioned on the outside but will have to wait.
