KINGSTON, Jamaica – The always determined and gritty Roy Rogers pulled off another win using these attributes as the curtain came down on the Caymanas Sunday race day.

Roy Rogers also benefitted from a brilliant ride by young apprentice Nicholas Hibbert whose skill and will to win were also defining factors in this victory by the Dennis Lee trained Roy Rogers.

As was always expected Harry’s Train (Ricardo Duhaney) set off on the lead but was closely followed by Roy Rogers. There were interchanges on the front end with Hibbert patiently biding his time.

When the horses turned for home Roy Rogers took control but two challengers Big Bang and (Tevin Foster) and Coco Chanel (Dane Dawkins) quickly emerged.

Riding as if possessed, Hibbert got Roy Rogers to give of his all and the gelding's strength was enough to score by half a length over Big Bang with Coco Chanel a neck further behind in third.

Roy Rogers was winning for the sixth time from 41 career starts.
