Go Deh Girl, the foreigner, puts it over stablemates in Caymanas Monday seventh

Go Deh Girl - Dane Nelson
Go Deh Girl - Dane Nelson

KINGSTON, Jamaica – In a race in which he saddled five of the six runners, it was little wonder that champion trainer Anthony Nunes ended the five-straight contest with a one, two, three, four result.

Victory went to the lone foreigner in the group Go Deh Girl at odds of 9-5, with Dane Nelson in the saddle in what was a non-winners of four event for three-year-olds and upwards horses.

Not surprisingly it was Hoist The Mast (Shane Ellis) the 3-5 favourite who set the splits with Nelson keeping a straight line on Go Deh Girl.

When the horses made the crossover to the main track Hoist The Mast spurted across the track and this paved the way for Go Deh Girl to seize the initiative, going on to win by ½ lengths.

Hoist The Mast was second and Acero (Richard Reid) third.
