KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was another win of substance for the Jason DaCosta trained Make Up Artist (Anthony Thomas) in the Caymanas Monday seventh.
Bred by Adore The Gold – Lipstick Lilly, Make Up Artist, a four-year-old bay filly, fourth win from four starts was achieved in a four-year-old and upwards non-winners of four contest going 6 ½ furlongs.
Make Up Artist wasted little time is setting the fractions, as she raced easier on the lead without a challenger around.
She entered the straight unmolested but Glock and Weekend tried to their best and got close enough.
At this stage, Thomas asked for extra and the response by Make Up Artist was quick and decisive as she pulled away to win by 3 ½ lengths in a noticeable time of 1:18.4.
Glock (O’brien White) was second and Rum With Me third.
